We Our City is committed to providing services that address immediate needs while creating lasting solutions to hunger, poverty, and social injustice.

The Storehouses:

Pantry distribution centers of food and household/personal necessities for families in need within our community.

Without volunteers these ministry would cease to exist. We currently need willing hearts to help sort donations, pack grocery bags, merchandise inventory, and serve client families during open hours.

The mission of the Bookmobile is to offer mobile library services to connect children and their families to the resources they need for their educational, recreational, and lifelong learning needs. We partner with local school districts and public libraries to redistribute books from their inventory.

The mission is to support the house through volunteer hours and donations to address immediate needs while creating long lasting solutions in the restoration of lives.

Juvenile Offender Diversion Program

The heart of the Juvenile Diversion Program is to give juvenile offenders a second chance to reverse negative trends and be healthy, productive members of the community. The mission of this program is to provide community service opportunities in an attempt to divert youthful offenders from the juvenile justice system. As a part of the program they serve the community through our outreaches.

Prison Outreach

The heart of the Prison Outreach is to establish relationships with incarcerated men and women to assist in their transition back into society. The mission of this outreach is to challenge, change, and improve the lives of the inmates in the program through relationships and programs. Examples of available programs include anger management, writing skills, managing money, and others to aid in the transition.

Community Outreach Interns

The heart of the summer outreach internship program is to provide participants the opportunity to gain perspective into the role of community leadership through service-oriented programs and outreaches. The mission is for the interns to gain experience in non-profit management while navigating the complexities of government-funded resources.

Community Garden

Imagine a space overflowing with produce, herbs and more, so abundant that extras could help feed Vacaville's needy.

That dream could soon be realized, thanks to Tuesday's unanimous approval by the City Council for the Vacaville Storehouse to buy six plots of land on Rocky Hill Road from the city for a community garden project.
